I love Photoshop...

I love photoshop...even though I have NO idea what I am doing!  My next book will be:  Photoshop for Dummies.  I am assuming that they have published that book since the "for Dummies" series has published a book for EVERYTHING!  So tomorrow, I will be making a trip to Barnes and Noble to get my holiday reading material!  Here are a few pictures that I have been working on!  Obviously, I am into the older photo look!  Enjoy!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kent and I were just talking about the following:
Is this what life is supposed to be like?  We have both been off the past two days and life doesn't get any better...or does it?  For the first time...since we have been married we actually have been awake and functioning past 9:00!  Usually, at 9:00 we are rushing around the house, not talking, washing bottles, throwing clothes from the washer to the dryer, getting the coffee pot ready for the morning brew, laying our clothes out for the next day (mine and Hughes anyway), throwing on pj's and literally jumping into the bed by...no later than...and if later than...we will wake up on the wrong side of the bed...10:00!

However, the past two nights, we have started a movie at 9:30, and finished it...still awake...and last night starting movie #2!  (Movie #1: The Ugly Truth and Movie #2:  The Hangover...#1: for me ... #2: for Kent...obviously)

Let's be honest...right now I have no idea where this blog is going!  Maybe, just maybe, THIS is why staying up past 9:00 is useless...my functioning level is VERY low!  All this to say:
1.  We have really enjoyed the Christmas holidays at home because
2.  we don't have to make the coffee the night before
3. because I am not leaving the house before 6:00 a.m.
4. because I am still in the bed at 6:00 a.m.
5. We also got lots of fun gifts
6.  for example the Photoshop
7.  that I cannot peel myself away from
8.  even though i have NO CLUE how to use it
9.  but I am DYING to find out
10.  happy new year!
11. and good night because it is 11:12 p.m.
12.  and everyone knows I am SOOOO not cool enough to stay up past 12:00a.m.
13.  that time is only for high school and college students
14.  which obviously, I am not...
15. considering my happiness with photoshop and love for blog
16.  which NO normal high school or college age kid would enjoy
17.  but I love my life as a wife and mom
18.  life is good!

We'll be Home for Christmas...

(you must sing the next sentence as you read)..."We'll be home for Chriiiistttmaaaass...You can count oooonnn meeee!"  Here is a quick update of what is happening in our home right now as we get ready for the trip home!

Brandy sent Hughes the most precious book, bath rag, and bath toy in the mail!  Hughes LOVED the wrapping paper!  We always enjoy getting a prize in the mail!  Merry Christmas Brandy!

Hughes gave Kent his first Dad Christmas card...Hughes liked it pretty good, too!

Hughes spent a little time under the tree about 30 minutes ago!  He loved looking up at the lights!

And last but not least...THIS is a pic of our car!  Our luggage is not even packed yet...but we come bringing gifts!  Is this how Santa organizes his big red sleigh too?

Merry Christmas to all....and to all a good night!  We can't wait to see everyone!

Verry Merry Christmas!

I am in the mood to blog...however at the moment I have nothing to say...in particular...but believe me...I ALWAYS have something to say. For those of you that know me, you know I always have something to say, however, I choose to keep my mouth closed...most of the time! Warning: I feel a real ramble blog coming on and I just can't make myself hit the backspace button...possibly because I am too delirious (going on three weeks now) or just caught my third wind of the day.

For those of you wondering, the second wind came when Kent called me at 9:00 this morning...which actually woke me up from ( remember this was my first morning to sleep in) mid morning nap. I realize that 9:00 in the morning is too early to be napping, however I woke up with Hughes at 6:30 fed him, played with him, and fell back asleep with him...does a morning get any better. Anyway, back to the point of the story, Kent called at 9:00 this morning to REMIND me that today was the day that they were having the Christmas Lunch at his work! PERFECT! I only have to cook corn casserole (which I was signed up for, therefore I MUST cook what was put on the sheet of paper) which I have NONE of the ingredients for this recipe. This means I must run to the grocery store, go to the post office to overnight our last order of stockings before the Christmas break, take a bath, get Hughes ready for doctors appointment at 10:45, cook a corn souffle for one hour, and end up at the doctor's office looking unsweaty and put together?...can it be done? SURE...if you cook the corn souffle WITHOUT the 2 eggs! So, I called Kent and told him he would have to tell everyone that he brought Corn Casserole INSTEAD of Corn Souffle. I mean, we are in Mississippi, it is totally acceptable to mix ingredients and call it a casserole! Especially, if the "casserole" includes sour cream or cream cheese. (Side note: You could serve me grasshopper casserole, as long as it contains cream cheese! What is it about cream cheese that makes ANYTHING taste amazing!...probably the 400 calories per square mm? BTW: Barefoot Contessa uses Truffle Butter on everything...maybe I should try that instead of cream cheese in my next "casserole"?)

P.S. you were warned this was a rambling blog! If you stop reading now...NO ONE would blame you!

I will stop rambling now and post some pictures of Hughes and Jack opening their Christmas gifts from each other! Adorable...who knew wrapping paper tasted so good?

We had our Christmas with the Kosek Family on Friday night. We opened gifts and all loaded in the van to go check out the Christmas lights...when I say THE Christmas lights...I mean THE Christmas lights. There is a home in our area that has connected their outdoor Christmas lights to a radio station and the lights dance to the beat of the music! I know this is something you have all probably seen or at least heard of...however, I am amazed every year that we go and see the amazement! Thank goodness for people with Christmas in their heart! Imagine their electric bill for the month of December...but they put it all aside to give our area a little Christmas cheer! ... The recession may get our pocketbooks, but it will not take away our Christmas spirit...the show will go on! Thank GOODNESS!

Merry Christmas to all...and to all a good night!

Order Up Amy!

Here are your socks Amy! We hope you enjoy them for many years to come! We really enjoyed putting these together for you! They will go to the Post Office tomorrow! Merry Christmas!

What a great idea...order an extra stocking for Grandmother's house!
Who better to fill a Christmas stocking?
And we all know Santa never skips stops to Grandmother's house...he would miss out on the best cookies!

Simply Put...I LOVE Christmas

Warning: This blog will be a compilation of many random thoughts...followed by more random thoughts...that is just where my head is at the moment! You were warned...

We have really been enjoying the holiday season with our family and friends! Hughes has had his first snow, first Thanksgiving, and many more first coming up in the next two weeks...hold up...two weeks...Is Christmas really in two weeks? (Britanny, get your rear in gear, go Christmas shopping this weekend, so that you can wrap your presents and place them under the tree...so you can enjoy the wrapping paper you spent entirely too much on at mistletoe...which will break your heart when you see your loved ones ripping into the paper as if you got it at Dollar Tree on sale...last Christmas...Prepare now for the heartbreak! :)

BimKreations has really taken off! The orders have been rolling in...and the mama hens have been sewing away...visit http://www.kosekcasa.blogspot.com/ to see what we have been up to!
Okay..it is 11:35 p.m. and I must go pack my bag for spin in the morning...and my clothes to wear to school...and get my coffee ready so all I have to do is flip it on...wash my face...brush my teeth...and literally fall into the bed. More random talk coming up! Enjoy the below photos! Hope to see you all very soon!
