I'm Guilty...

I'm guilty of it.

And probably so are you.

Unless you have been under a rock the past 10 years.

Or you refuse to do it at all.

Or you are a better person than I am and decided NOT to do it!

TWD.

No not the same as a DUI, but just as bad!

Texting While Driving.

I am vowing at this moment, to never again text while driving. Now, if I am at a stop light or waiting to turn, I can't promise to not send a little sentence text.

In the past year, my life has become more important by another life. So, for Hughes' safety and the safety of the other families and loved ones on the road, I WILL NOT text anymore while driving. I encourage you to take the same vow. Do it for your family. If someone sends an emergency text, just call them. You all know I can be shady when it comes to the phone. I have NEVER LIKED talking on the phone. ... this opens a whole other can of worms. I could talk for years on the priviledges of phone owners...but I will save that for another blog. Or not.

Here are a few pics from the weekend.

First Trip to the E.R.

So, Kent surprised me Thursday night with an early birthday present! ...Keys to Buddy and Laurin's Condo in Perdido! Woo Hoo...yes.

perfect.

no getting the house ready to show...we are trying to sell our home!

no vacumming EVERYday.

no mopping EVERYday.

we can listen to the waves crashing.

wake up to NO alarm clock.

going to the beach around ten.

Sunset Grille around one for the BEST crab claws ever...

seriously crab claws the size of Kent's fingers.

Nap time with Hughes late afternoon.

Beach again at sunset for a family picture.

late dinner and late bedtime.

does it get any better.

Well, no. It doesn't. But it can get more interesting.

Hughes is pulling up on EVERYTHING.

He found the end tables or should we say the end tables found him.

We were all standing around watching Hughes and Jack crawling

around the floor and pulling up on anything...that hits an adult's knee height...this morning around 7:45a.m.

...Watching them with pride and joy,as to say, "Oh, the boys are getting so big." "This time last year we were expecting these two boys and now they are totting and squirming around."

Then, it happened! The table attacked Hughes...or Hughes' finger anyway.

Hughes pulled up on the table and he pulled the table over on him.

We initially thought...no big deal. It just scared him. He's fine.
Don't over react. He's fine. He's just gonna cry for a minute. Get back up.
And crawl back to something else to pull up on. He will find the kitchen cabinets in no time and forget all about this little fall. But...

Then, I saw red. He was bleeding.

So, needless to say. Hughes, Kent, Kevin and I stayed at the E.R. until 12:45. We showed up with blood all over his pajamas, my shirt and pants, and a rough crew. Remember...we were not dressed for the day. But, nevermind that, to the E.R. we went...

And the below pictures are the end result.

Hughes has two stitches in his middle finger.

He has to keep the stitches in for the next seven days.

It reminds me of Winnie the Pooh.
We feel confident this won't be the last time we make a trip to the E.R.,
but let's hope they are few and far between.

Hopping into Easter

Today is Saturday and we are getting ready for the Easter bunny!

Hughes is taking his morning nap and then we are heading to Granddaddy Brown's house to hunt eggs! We will send you all pictures of the children in their Easter outfits, but here is a sneak peak. Ma'Lyn handmade Francie, Harlan and Hughes' Easter outfits. The outfits are precious and we can't wait to get them on the little bunnies!

Hoppy Easter!
