So, Kent surprised me Thursday night with an early birthday present! ...Keys to Buddy and Laurin's Condo in Perdido! Woo Hoo...yes.
perfect.
no getting the house ready to show...we are trying to sell our home!
no vacumming EVERYday.
no mopping EVERYday.
we can listen to the waves crashing.
wake up to NO alarm clock.
going to the beach around ten.
Sunset Grille around one for the BEST crab claws ever...
seriously crab claws the size of Kent's fingers.
Nap time with Hughes late afternoon.
Beach again at sunset for a family picture.
late dinner and late bedtime.
does it get any better.
Well, no. It doesn't. But it can get more interesting.
Hughes is pulling up on EVERYTHING.
He found the end tables or should we say the end tables found him.
We were all standing around watching Hughes and Jack crawling
around the floor and pulling up on anything...that hits an adult's knee height...this morning around 7:45a.m.
...Watching them with pride and joy,as to say, "Oh, the boys are getting so big." "This time last year we were expecting these two boys and now they are totting and squirming around."
Then, it happened! The table attacked Hughes...or Hughes' finger anyway.
Hughes pulled up on the table and he pulled the table over on him.
We initially thought...no big deal. It just scared him. He's fine.
Don't over react. He's fine. He's just gonna cry for a minute. Get back up.
And crawl back to something else to pull up on. He will find the kitchen cabinets in no time and forget all about this little fall. But...
Then, I saw red. He was bleeding.
So, needless to say. Hughes, Kent, Kevin and I stayed at the E.R. until 12:45. We showed up with blood all over his pajamas, my shirt and pants, and a rough crew. Remember...we were not dressed for the day. But, nevermind that, to the E.R. we went...
And the below pictures are the end result.
Hughes has two stitches in his middle finger.
He has to keep the stitches in for the next seven days.

Aw poor little guy....he looks over it, kiddos are so resilent!
Poor little man! I am so proud of him for being so brave though. We will have to remove all end tables at Rosemary. Take care of him. I am also extremely proud of you for keeping a cool head about the whole thing! Impressive.
