Thanksgiving Service Pictures

So about two or three weeks ago, I promised you guys pictures from the Thanksgiving Service. The day was absolutely perfect....great weather, the best company in the world, amazing food, and a Sunday that you can only dream of. Almost, all of your nearest and dearest congregated in one church building giving thanks for all of the blessings we have been given. Everyone had a wonderful time.

The children played in the backyard after eating their dinner. Is this not just bliss? They had no reason to run, except to run. When was the last time you did that?

Pamela and Nick brought these adorable and delicious mini cakes. P. S. If Kent and I are ever blessed with a sweet little girl, she will be going to Aunt Pamela's for one week...or at least a weekend...every summer for what we will call "Lady Lessons".

Mary Love made this cake! No, that is not her day time job, the girl just has skills. Actually, I haven't seen a thing Mary Love can't do well. She can write a MEAN thank you note...and always sent the day after gift was given (I can only aspire to be that "with-it"), her cheese cake will make you want to skip the main meal just by looking at it, she and Mike are raising two ADORABLE children, Grammar that could make an English Professor rethink their paper, and the list goes on and on. Needless to say, anything she puts her mind to, she will achieve. And this cake was no exception!

Just wanted you guys to see inside the church building. Side note: I say church "building" because the church is the people, therefore I must emphasize the word building. My Mom got on to me many times when I was little for saying, "Are we almost to church?"...Her response, "Well, we are almost to the church building, so that we can worship with the church." There, I have taught you to be more aware of your word choice when speaking of going to the "church". I try to help in small doses!

Hughes had too much fun for one morning. He fell asleep in Big Daddy's arms at the dinner table.

When the celebration was over, Big Daddy started washing up the dishes. Hughes, being the sweet, generous, adorable boy he is, pitched in to help a little bit. After all, he was the guest of honor. Thanks to everyone who made the day special. We love you!

Awwwww, I'm blushing. That was too sweet. You give me waaaaay too much credit, because I'm definitely not very put together lately, and that's an understatement!

Ok, look at Hughes on the weekend of his Thanksgiving service, and look at the park pics - Are ya'll feeding that boy steaks???? So funny!

Oh my goodness I wish I could have been there with yall! He is getting so big and handsome :) I definitely did the summer "lady lessons" with Pamela, and I remember them fondly. I don't know if they were so much "lady lessons" as a delightful excuse to play with Pamela and Prince Nick though!
