I just love this picture!
The perfect Thanksgiving shot of Mr. Rodney and Aunt Pamela around the piano!
It just warms my heart!
This picture will be framed in our home!
This past Sunday we went to The Santa Brunch at Old Waverly.
I was very nervous about Hughes meeting Santa.
We have talked about Santa at home.
We saw him in the Winona parade.
Hughes told me that Santa "threw candies" and "threw a string".
(String: AKA...whip for the reindeer) :)
So...we gently approached Santa...last year...it didn't go so well.
When what to my wandering eye did appear?
But Santa in his big red suit
coming from the bathroom near.
He tiptoed up the steps and peeped around the pole
To find Hughes in all his amazement
Staring at him as he stood below.
They played peek-a-boo for just a quick sec
Then up the staircase he came
To give Hughes a quick check.
It only took a minute for Hughes to warm up to his new buddy.
Other children hugged Santa in our distance.
So, Hughes thought it might be okay.
I am just trying to stand back and let him do his thing.
Camera in hand of course.
Just in the small case that I will get lucky enough to have pictures with Santa this season.
Yes.
He thinks he will go.
Better just give him a good look over first.
He looks really kind.
His cheeks really are like roses.
Where's your chair Santa?
Well, let's go find it.
Off they go.
Through two rooms and around two corners.
My heart is butter...melted...sweet...butter...with chocolate melting in...and love sprinkled all around.
The moment I have wondered about all year...
Will Hughes sit in Santa's lap this year?
Oh...Santa is giving away Jingle Bells!
Success!
Pictures of Hughes
...and Wiley together in Santa's lap.
In front of the rumbling fire.
Francie did it too!
Francie FINALLY sat in Santa's lap!
Dreams do come true for adults too!
We just dream of that adorable photo of our children and Santa!
This picture is my favorite!
Visions of Sugar Plums will surely dance in their heads!
Merry Christmas to all...
and to all a good night.
Literally :)
