Twelve Tidbits: Eleven

Twelve Tidbits:  Eleven

As we are coming to a close of our Twelve Tidbits, the tidbits are getting simpler.

But possibly, more profound.

This tidbit was the most profound on the trip for me.

Ready for it.

Here goes:

Pray.

yip.

Simple.

Yet so profound.

We all have important things going on in our life:

babies on the way (not me...Jeanine and Eric :), jobs, families, christian walks and so much more.

We all found ourselves expressing our fears, worries, struggles with one another.

Because that is what good friends do.

Pick up right where you left off.

Even if it was two or three years ago.

Laugh.

A LOT.

Cry.

A little.

Giggle like school girls.

Say things you know you can only say with your nearest and dearest.

Express your concerns in your own life.

As we were discussing our individual struggles and worries...

Jeanine so profoundly said,

"Well, have you really been praying about it?"
"Honestly and embarrassing enough, no."

J: "I promise you if you really pray about it, it will work out.  Somehow."

So simple.

Pray.

Yet.

So profound.

Just take a minute and pray.

Get centered.

Pray.

Get grounded.

Pray.

Twelve Tidbits: Ten

Drink Water

Old School Information I know.

Not very glamourous.

Or Late Breaking.

But.

You know you don't drink enough.

Simply Stated.

Drink more water.

Brandy is starting this awesome new job with Murad.

Dr. Murad has a good read called The Water Secret.

We all know you should drink water.

But.

I KNOW there are MANY MANY MANY

MANY days without drinking water.

So, if you are like me, join me.

Start making a more concious effort to drink water everyday!

Easy.

Right?

Now, go grab a quick cup of water and do your skin and body some good.

I'm headed to our water cooler now.

Filling my Toy Story Cup to the brim.

Happy Tidbits!

Twelve Tidbits: Nine

Twelve Tidbits: Nine

Music.

Turn it on.

Download it from itunes.

Stick it on your iPod.

Music helps to make the everyday task a little easier to manage.

Music can get you through.

Music can give you that extra jolt of energy.

Music can make you do a funny dance while your children watch.

And you are a superstar.

For a minute anyway.

Until you see your children imitate the same dance move you just jigged.

And you see how silly that "cool move"  really looks.

But who cares.

You are happy and dancing.

Your children are laughing and dancing.

Life is good.

I was asking the girls on the beach trip some good music.

"How do you always know the up and coming or best songs right now?"

That's easy enough.

I'm on it.

If you want to know what everyone around the world is listening to, hop on over to Billboard Top 100.

You can also look on the Ranked List on iTunes to see what songs are getting the most attention.

(You must download iTunes onto your computer....or all you cool iPhone folks...it is on your phone)

Here are the top 10 songs on Billboard Top 100 as of today:

10.  Stereo Hearts by Gym Class Heroes Featuring  Adam Levine
9. Give Me Everything by Pitull Featuring Ne-Yo and some other kids
8. Good Life by OneRepublic
7.  How to Love by Lil Wayne
6.  Super Bass by Nicki Minaj
5.  Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) by Katy Perry
4.  Lighters by Bad Meets Evil Featuring Bruno Mars
3.  Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People
2.  Party Rock Anthem by FMFAO
1.  Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5 Featuring Christina Aguilera

However, some of my favorites right now are:

You and I by Lady Gaga
Just a Kiss by Lady Antebellum
Anything Adele
Anything JLo...Did she get her groove back or WHAT?
And if I'm honest
anything
Techno, Brian Adams and Country Tear Jerkers.

(If you have ever had a CD that I have made you, I apologize.

You might start with Bette Midler, Jump to a Little 1998ish JaRule, then skip on over to Little Big Town, topped off with Paula Abdul and end on a Strawberry Wine note.

That's just how I roll.)

SO Tidbit for today is make music the background of your life.

It will make washing dishes extra special with a dance at the sink.

Could make cleaning up a little more fun with a jig in between picking up old play dough and dump trucks.

Might make fixing that 14th "Chockit MEEELK" a little bit happier.
(a.k.a. chocolate milk)

Will absolutely brighten your day!

Jam on!

Whatever moves you...

Just Jam On!

Big Helper

We have some really big helpers around our house!

Hughes wants to do everything Mommy and Daddy do!

Hughes is just watching us paint cabinets!

He then decided he needed to help.

"It looks like this wall needs a little help!"

"I think I need to go wash my wagon."

"That's just what I'll do."

"Where is my little helper?"

"I'll be out there very soon!"

"Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!"

Going....Going...

This series of photos took place in about a 60 second span.

Wiley had a rough tough and fun day!

Going.....

Going.....

Gone!

We went to see Brown, painted cabinets and cooked all day!

Little Pumpkin was tuckered out!

Night Night Wiley.

"Lub You"...as Hughes would say.

Twelve Tidbits: Eight

Twelve Tidbits:  Eight

So yesterday our tip was about eyes.

Today is too.

Not sure about your eyes.

But my eyes look like someone punches me in the face every morning.

For fun.

I don't even feel the pain anymore.

However.

I do see it.

I will be completely honest and say,

"I do not spend more than 5 minutes applying my makeup."

"And on MOST days I don't spend more than 2 minutes."

But I do spend 30 seconds of those precious minutes applying this magical love to my black circles.

It works.

And don't just say,

"Oh, yes.  I use concealer, too."

Not good enough.

If you are not using this concealer, you are selling yourself short.

And that's all I have to say about that.

This Better Than Cover Concealer is amazing.

Brandy introduced me to it right before Wiley was born....

and I have not turned back!

P.S.  My Better Than Cover melted...in the car...because things like this happen to me.  So now I dig what melted in the top of the lid out with a brush...and apply.  On another make-up note, Hughes also thinks my eyeliner is a "pent" aka "pen".  He likes to color his seashells with it.  Just wanted to be real with you.

Happy Day.

Twelve Tidbits: Seven

Twelve Tidbits: Seven

Short and Sweet today folks!

Today is a tip.

Line the inside of your eye with waterproof eyeliner.

It will make your eyes POP!

And I hear this brand and color are right on the money!

Stila Brand: Color:  Stingray

Pretty sure you can purchase these at an Ulta or Sephora close to you!

One extra eye tip...while we are on the subject...

Put a hot hairdryer to your eyelash curler for about 5 seconds before curling your lashes!

It will help to "set" the curl.

Kind of a mini curling iron for your lashes!
